Paige Southworth is a corporate transactional attorney who advises emerging companies, entrepreneurs, and venture capital investors in a broad range of corporate transactions, including venture capital financings, corporate governance initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions. She counsels companies across all stages of the startup lifecycle and is passionate about working with founders who think outside the box to grow their companies and make an impact on the world.
Before joining SPZ Legal, Paige practiced as an emerging growth and venture capital associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP (now A&O Shearman) and DLA Piper LLP, where she gained extensive experience advising startups of all sizes across diverse industries. Her work included cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions, providing her with a valuable global perspective on emerging company and investment matters.
Paige earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a triple major in Political Science, Latin American Studies, and Spanish & Portuguese. She also studied at the University of Buenos Aires and later earned an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University, focusing on human rights organizations.
Outside of work, Paige is an avid reader, budding gardener, and aspiring chef. She loves hiking, traveling, and spending time in nature.
